christmas tree farm {2014}

our annual tree cutting event had to move locations this year as our previous favorite farm has stopped offering 'cut-your-own'.  i was worried that we weren't going to happy with a new place, and that fear proved to be ridiculous, as the farm we tried out this year was perfect, actually even better than our old farm.  

whew.

crisis averted, and family tradition prevails!  :)

I love that we had a little snow this year!  It was a cold afternoon, but it was perfect.

snow day {2014}

i spent a good part of my afternoon outdoors with these little snowmen.  

hendrix likes the cold more than blaire does, but she had a great time after she started running around and forgot how cold it was. ;)

he does make a pretty good angel i must admit ;)

and she just melts me.  her little person unfolding is both entertaining, infuriating and heartwarming all at the same time.  i just love her!

they make a pretty darn good team!

it was good for my soul to just play with these two and soak up their childlike wonder at the change in seasons.  

winter is here, ready or not!
